I am a photographer and a rock singer. I have a band in the States, Mel and the Party Hats, and also perform solo in Europe. My band has opened for the Beach Boys, Faith No More and Cheap Trick, and has played over 500 shows in front of crowds as large as 10,000 people.

In Berlin 2011 I have sung at Montbijou Park as Park of an aktion with my art, King Size Bar, and before the Bear Pit (karaoke) in Mauer Park.

My photography began over 30 years ago in the mountains of Tennessee in a poor town called Beersheba Springs, where I took pictures of the royalty there. I took a 20-year break and now work in Berlin and Nashville.

More and more I am combining performance with photography, either photography as performance or in tandem with my singing.
